Who Wants to be a Pen Pal?

children Uncategorized

Our whole world has come to a standstill because of the coronavirus, so wouldn’t it be great if we could communicate not only with those we know and love, but with new friends all around the world? At Ama Ghar, we communicate with our Ama Ghar family through blogs like this one, email newsletters, social media and mail.

Our board member Jane Ellison suggested that it might be fun for the Ama Ghar kids to have more direct communication with children outside Nepal as well. So she volunteered her grandchildren to start a pen pal program – and the photos below show the result. Great fun at any age – and the girls sure look like they’re enjoying it.

Do you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew (boys are definitely encouraged) who would like to write to an Ama Ghar child? If so, you can reach Bonnie Auntie at bonniefromamaghar@gmail.com and she will make an age-appropriate connection. Let’s spread the Ama Ghar spirit of love and friendship around the world!
