On November 9, over 150 members of our California Ama Ghar family put the word “fun” into fundraiser with a crazy, joyful event at Peacock Gap in San Rafael.

Our beautiful, smart and fun support crew!

We danced to Hella Fitzgerald, we played Nepali games, we gave heartfelt talks about the Ama Ghar mission – and proved its success with the introduction of our Ama Ghar alumna Sharada Chhetri, an MD who is in the US working on her residency.

Board Members Jane Ellison and Fred Doar with Ama Ghar alum Sharada Chhetri.

Country Director Bonnie Ellison introduced her and told the story of how Sharada had always wanted to be a doctor and how Ama Foundation helped her to achieve her dreams.

Auctioneer Chad Carvey talking Bonnie into auctioning the shirt off her back!

Auctioneer Chad Carvey did a stellar job of encouraging the raising of paddles and the raising of much-needed funds for our Ama Ghar education account.

Hooray! Rosie is the Queen of the party – last donor hero – congrats and THANKS!

A night to remember… already working on next year!
