    What happened

On August 26, 2026, devastating floods ripped through northern Nepal, washing away homes, displacing families, and leaving many children without parents or a safe place to live.

Ama Ghar immediately contacted the Government of Nepal’s National Child Rights Council (NCRC) to let them know that we have space and are ready to accept any children they refer to us who were orphaned by the floods.

At Ama Ghar, we provide children with a loving home, a quality education, and the care and support they need to heal. We care for children who join our family from the moment they walk through our doors until they become independent, self-supporting young adults. As we prepare to provide sustained support to these children whose lives were forever altered by the floods, please open your hearts and help us fulfill our mission.

Ama Ghar is preparing to do what we do best: Providing a safe and loving home to children who have nowhere else to go.

Give now to support children orphaned by the floods.
