    About The Ama Foundation

The Ama Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization made up of a volunteer Board of Directors, three part-time staff members and hundreds of donors and supporters who make our work possible. Without the involvement of the individuals and communities that make up our worldwide Ama Ghar family we couldn’t do what we do.

The Ama Foundation funds Ama Ghar Children’s Home, a permanent care home, near Kathmandu, Nepal to provide a stable home and access to education for at-risk children. Working closely with the local Nepalese staff and the leadership of the Ama Ghar Board of Directors, Ama Foundation and Country Director, Bonnie Ellison, works to better understand the real needs of the children we serve and give them the tools they need to succeed.
