The Dashain holiday is the most exciting festival on the calendar for the entire country of Nepal, but especially here at Ama Ghar! Dashain traditions are particularly fun for kids, from swinging on the tall “ping” that we build to playing games, harvesting rice, getting new clothes and special tika ceremonies. And the very best part is that big brothers and sisters come home to Ama Ghar to celebrate with our family just as they did when they were little.
