Ama Ghar’s Family Vacation to Eastern Nepal

To celebrate the end of school exams, all the Ama Ghar kids took a vacation to Eastern Nepal at the beginning of April. The trip was arranged by Ama Ghar Alumni, Akriti, who works for a travel agency in Nepal. We started in the charming city of Dharan, where we visited temples and took in breathtaking views of the Terai plains. We then went to Shree Antu in Ilam and Kanyam, where we interacted with the locals and learned a lot about the tea-making process. On Day 4, we went to the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, which was a highlight for all the kids. We ended the trip in Pokhara, where the kids went boating, visited temples, and went to Pokhara’s Disneyland!

It was an amazing trip for our family, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our community. While the kids were away, we were able to complete a lot of work on the house – including repairing and refinishing all of our floors!
