At Ama Ghar Children's Home, just 18 kilometers south of Kathmandu, we provide a home and family to 45 at risk children ages 4 to 18.

Bipana
Bipana, who recently arrived at Ama Ghar, is 14 years old. She was badly burned at the age of five, and lost her right arm due to infection. Despite all this, she has quickly adjusted to life at Ama Ghar. She’s a sweet, confident girl and a serious student – she will be a great addition to our family.

Sunil
Sunil never stops moving! He is a bundle of energy and a born entertainer. He loves his new glasses can’t manage to stay clean for more than five minutes – he gets into everything. We’re not sure sure how they will deal with him at school. Since he’s moving out of kindergarten, but we’ll soon find out!
Subash
Although he’s only in Lower Kindergarten, this little guy should be a comedian. He says the funniest things and tries to do accents and impersonations. We’ll see how his “class joker” demeanor will be accepted as he moves up in grades at school. He takes to everything new at Ama Ghar, with a ready smile.
Sarita
Smart, smiling, aware and quite confident for her young age – she is nine years old and in Class 2. Renuka
Renuka, age 8, came from Eastern Nepal, not far from the valley, and has started in Upper Kindergarten. She is quiet and watchful but loves Lego and Tae Kwan Do and shows excellent concentration when playing pick up sticks. Renuka’s favorite thing is to dance with her sisters, and she enjoys daily hugs.

Saraswoti (S)
Saraswoti, age 8, came with her older sister Aariti from the Terai. She is adjusting well in Class 2 and spends hours creating large Lego rooms and playing with the doll house as well as doing Tae Kwan Do, dancing with her sisters and enjoying her computer time.
