We are so happy to introduce our two new arrivals, brothers Kushel, age 6, and Sushan, age 4, who lost their home and most of their family in the earthquake. Like all new arrivals, they are feeling a bit scared and unsure about what their life will be like at Ama Ghar.
But this week they will be the recipients of so many hugs and so much love – from their aunties and uncles and from the other children – that they will soon adjust and become part of our big crazy, happy family. They are already becoming familiar with the dogs and our Leapfrog teaching cartoons and Lego projects.
The boys will have medical, dental and eye check-ups this week and will hopefully go to school with the other kids next week.
These two children, as well as their 65 brothers and sisters, can look forward to a happy childhood and a bright future, despite what they’ve been through in the past.
