As always, thank you to our Ama Ghar family around the world for your powerful thoughts and prayers – all of our children who were injured in the landslide have been discharged from the hospital and are being cared for at home. To us, this is proof of the healing power of love.
Our Ama Ghar pediatrician, Dr. Neelman Adhikari, told us that she and the other doctors were amazed at the speed of the childrens’ recovery – she was at the hospital when they were admitted, some with extremely severe injuries requiring Intensive Care. She said she never dreamed that they would be out of the hospital this quickly.
The Ama Ghar staff and older children took turns staying with the injured little ones at the hospital, so they never woke up alone and always were attended by someone they love – and we shared with them all of the positive thoughts you sent on social media and in person. It helps, it really does – we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Now, of course, we need to cover our expenses for Anjana’s funeral, plus hospital care and follow-up care. Counseling will begin today for all of the children and staff, Bina will need extensive dental work and there is rehabilitative care required for several of the others. If you can, please help us by donating to The Anjana Fund on Global Giving at https://www.globalgiving.org/
We couldn’t do what we do without you – we are so grateful.

Best wishes for a quick recovery to all the kids at home now.
The Didi Project will gather funds but it could take a few weeks. Pam is out of town so we don’t have access to our mailing list.
Love,
Joyce
