Sushan has a career in video editing and also appears as a character in a Nepali TV show. He lives in Kathmandu.

Rama is living in Kathmandu and working for a credit union in Patan.
Pabita
Pabita is looking for a job in the development Industry and has been helping her brother with his businesses. She has now serving as a Board Member on the Ama Ghar Board.
Srijana
Srijana completed her training in Fashion Design and she was selected as one of Nepal’s top new talents. She is currently living in Milan and is engaged in an intensive Masters in Fashion Design and Business at Raffles Milano Instituto Moda e Design.
Sabita
Sabita returned from Oman and started work as a social worker for a group that empowers mothers and rescues girls.
Shankar
Shankar has always been a great big brother because he always came to Ama Ghar to help us make momos. He just returned to Nepal after working in Bahrain for a year.
Mangel
Mangel found his calling when he took culinary arts training in Kathmandu and is now working at a local restaurant.
Solo Maya
Solo Maya continues to work as a health assistant and was married in 2021.
Menuka
Menuka and her husband are living in Pokhara, where she teaches at Global Collegiate School. She is the proud mother of a baby boy born in April 2022.
Pratima
Pratima is pursuing a Masters in Psychology in Sydney, Australia.
Kalpana T.
Kalpana completed her Air Hostess training with distinction and is working in VIP Customer Service for Qatar Airlines in Doha, Qatar.
Kalpana P.
Kalpana excelled in her training in health care and is now successfully employed in the health care sector in Pokhara, Nepal.
Ganga
Ganga has taken management and computer skills training and is currently employed by American Standard in Kuwait.
Subash
Subash completed his Architecture course and is now employed by Good Earth Global building earthquake-proof earth bag housing in remote areas.
Parbati
Parbati loves coffee making and has been working as a barista in Kathmandu since 2015. She is living independently in Kathmandu.
Sajan T.
Sajan is working in the field for a local women’s empowerment NGO, helping women to create successful small businesses.
Krishna
Krishna is working as a dental assistant in Pokhara, Nepal. She is living independently and enjoying her many friends.
Pabitra
Pabitra is employed as a Pharmacist in Pokhara, Nepal.
Ashok
Ashok has started his own business in IT in Kathmandu. He has also joined the AmaGhar Board and is our office tech support.
Laxmi
Laxmi completed her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from a university in Pokhara and is now taking a Masters degree in Public Health in Sydney, Australia.
Manisha
Manisha is now married and pursuing Master’s degree in Hotel Management in Sydney, Australia.
Rupmala
Rupmala has left her job as House Mother at the Sunrise Home in Kathmandu to marry – she is very happy with her new life.
Bindhu
Bindu worked as a nurse at Patan Hospital, one of the best government hospitals in Nepal. She married Prem Shrestha in May of 2015 and they now reside in Seattle, Washington.
Anish
Anish is successfully employed as a mountain guide and first responder. He is married and is the father of two young children.
Biratjan
Biratjan finished his schooling in Engineering and is now working in banking.
Akshaya
Akshaya took special training in animation, welding and computer repair and is now studying animation in New Zealand.
Sajan P.
Sajan is now married and is completing his Bachelor’s degree and he is the proud father of a baby boy born in October 2020. He comes to Ama Ghar on the weekends to give music lessons.
Sharada
Sarada completed her residency in Internal Medicine and now doing a residency in Cardiology in Chicago. She has been married to Dr. Parag Gajurel since May, 2019.
Two of our first Ama Ghar alumni, Bindhu and Sharada, have become a nurse and a doctor, respectively.
Because we support our children through whatever level of education they are capable of achieving, their results have been truly remarkable. So far, Ama Ghar alumni have become nurses, doctors, child care workers, animators, baristas and trekking guides; others are interning as electrical engineers, I.T. professionals, health care workers and hotel managers. Our goal is for the children to become productive, self-sustaining citizens of Nepal, working at whatever profession or trade is most suited to them.
