October marks Dashain in Nepal and the Ama Ghar home was full of celebration. The kids had a 2 week holiday off of school, and started things off with a lot of activities at home — arts and crafts, playing on our traditional Dashain swing, flying kites, and playing cards. It’s a lot of time together and we make the most of it.
Some alumni returned and we celebrated Dashain by giving and receiving blessings, eating a delicious meal, playing music and dancing. We ended the 2 week holiday with an outing to the zoo for the little ones and a movie for the older kids. Enjoy the photos below!
