In May, Ama Ghar received an award from the Upreti Social Welfare Committee, which was presented to Country Director Bonnie Ellison in appreciation of the good work Ama Ghar has done for the children of Nepal.
It was especially heart warming to be honored by a local group that had many social endeavors to choose from. Sharing the award ceremony was a very deserving group that works with Downs Syndrome children.
Bonnie’s acceptance speech highlighted the Ama Ghar childrens’ successes and the hard work of all of the staff that make those successes possible. It is always nice to be recognized.
