On Saturday, March 12, the Ama Foundation Board held their annual in-person board meeting at the fantastic Marin County home of board member Fred Doar. Following the board meeting there was a “thank you” party for our outgoing Board Chair, Rob Sanders.

Rob has also served as a board member and as Treasurer – and he will continue to serve as a board member – for many, many years, we hope! The Board gave Rob a going-away gift, which was a framed heart made up of photographs of the Ama Ghar children.

We can’t express enough appreciation to Rob for his dedication to our children and to the board – during his tenure as a highly professional Board Chair, we have accomplished great things.
He will be succeeded as Chair by Suyesh Karki, who has been an excellent and devoted board member for three years; we know he will carry the torch extremely well.
