Maya continues to be a sweetheart and will be a leader someday. Her petite size fools you into thinking she is frail, but that’s definitely not the case! She is very smart, specific and resilient. On July 1 she was in the school classroom that was damaged by a collapsing wall of rock. Maya heard the noise and instantly ran out of the classroom, a survivor. The school and Ama Ghar had regular counseling to help them all return to school and understand what had happened.

Maya interacts well with her Ama Ghar sisters and brothers and helps her Aunties with many of the smaller ones. She is doing very well in school and will start Class 4 in April.
