Saturday, November 12 was the happiest day yet in the history of Ama Ghar – the Grand Opening party for our beautiful new home in Godavari. We are very proud of our new home,  built through the generosity of our donors with sustainable power and waste systems and traditional Nepali design.

The Celebration, as well as our new home, was dedicated to 0ur beloved Ama Tika Basnet.

On Saturday, we welcomed over 400 people to a fun-filled celebration. In addition to the adult friends, neighbors and dignitaries who were invited, the Ama Ghar children invited their school friends, local children and children from other Homes around the Valley. There was a children’s tent especially for then, which offered face painting, a Lego table, a Play Doh table and lots of fun activities.
